Job Description

About the Role

This role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for DEVON storage sectors, including Third Party Management, General Contracting, Self Storage Operations, and Employment. The position requires collaboration across departments, managing campaigns, and presenting results to senior leadership. The focus is on customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and enhancing customer communications and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital and traditional marketing strategies aligned with company objectives to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Manage, implement, and report on reputation, review, and lead generation campaigns across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as IT, operations, pricing & revenue, and finance to align marketing efforts with broader business goals.
  • Prepare initiatives and results for presentation to senior leadership.
  • Manage the customer journey implementation for each storage sector, including creative, experience, and testing across all customer communications and digital touchpoints.
  • Oversee the development and execution of targeted email and text communication to engage and educate customers and prospects.
  • Drive website design and UX enhancements to align with brand guidelines and improve customer journeys.
  • Implement A/B testing to optimize website, communication, and app performance and engagement.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to improve customer communication, sentiment, and retention.
  • Create compelling marketing copy and edit existing messaging.
  • Work with creative and IT teams to implement changes, track progress, and measure results.
  • Develop customer acquisition strategies through media, affiliates, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to deliver marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships to enhance brand visibility and reach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field, or relevant work experience of 7+ years in B2C and B2B sales and marketing.
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with a proven track record in customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Expertise in email marketing, website design, A/B testing, and digital media strategies.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into strategies; proficiency in analytics tools preferred.
  • Ability to write clear, compelling copy for various marketing materials.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a big-picture perspective.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, CMS systems, social media platforms, and lead generation technology.
