Job Description

About the Role

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies to drive growth and shape the future of the US business within the Plant Protein and Prepared Meat categories. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director, ML USA, this role involves strategic review, market insights, cross-functional collaboration, and leading commercialization efforts to achieve profitable growth. The individual will work closely with teams across sales, R&D, finance, supply chain, and operations to support growth initiatives and category objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against brand and category financial goals, managing both top and bottom line
  • Formulate and champion marketing strategies designed to achieve category objectives, foster channel growth, and attain market share targets
  • Continuously monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to provide real-time insights that can inform marketing strategies and product development decisions
  • Work in partnership with the Sales team to build and execute specific customer strategies and tactics, support Sales in bringing category strategies to life for customers
  • Collaborate closely with teams in R&D, Revenue Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to inform decisions that drive achievement of in-year goals and lay the foundation for future growth plans
  • Lead end-to-end commercialization of new product development, innovation, and renovation from consumer-centric concept generation through to in-market execution
  • Partner with Retail Sales and Brand teams to grow MLF branded share in their category
  • Take charge of the annual strategic business reviews and planning processes for the category, while supporting other regular business rhythms
  • Support various activities to promote growth initiatives of the company

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Marketing/Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Progressive 4-6 year experience in CPG brand or general management
  • Experience working with syndicated data sources such as SPINS, IRI, Nielsen preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
  • Previous experience with P&Ls and PowerBI an asset
  • Solid understanding of key drivers of the P&L and ability to recommend changes
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions to inform business plans
  • Demonstrated agility and effectiveness in a dynamic business environment
  • Understanding of customer strategies and motivations and applying them to marketing initiatives
  • Skilled in mobilizing and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
  • Ability to articulate strategic direction with sound rationale and influence management
  • Proven track record in product commercialization from concept to market

Nice to Have

  • Experience with syndicated data sources such as SPINS, IRI, Nielsen

Qualifications
