About the Role

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a collaborative Marketing Pursuits Strategist to support the development of high-quality proposals across multiple client types and markets. The role involves strategic thinking, proposal coordination, messaging, content refinement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to shape persuasive, client-focused responses. The position offers flexibility in office location and emphasizes professional development and mentorship within a leading environmental consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities

Support development of moderate to complex proposals for environmental service lines
Coordinate proposal kickoffs, brainstorming sessions, and messaging discussions
Contribute to the development of client-focused strategies, messaging, and differentiators
Align proposal content with client needs and positioning guidance
Write and edit proposal sections with attention to clarity, consistency, and compliance
Manage timelines to support timely and compliant proposal submissions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strong proposal narratives
Work with subject matter experts to develop responsive, tailored content
Research client and market information to inform pursuit approach
Partner with creative team to incorporate visual enhancements into proposals
Assist in preparing interview materials and presentation content
Reference past performance and pursuit data to inform proposal strategies
Track market trends and regional pursuit activity
Provide informal mentorship and peer support for junior team members
Engage in professional development to build strategic and technical marketing skills

Requirements

BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
6 years of proposal writing or similar experience
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of strong proposals for complex projects
Growing skills in analysis and problem-solving, with a developing strategic perspective
Proficient in managing tasks and timelines across multiple concurrent projects
Collaborates effectively within cross-functional teams and supports group goals
Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal

Nice to Have

Experience in B2B marketing
Experience in the field of environmental consulting
