Job Description

About the Role

The Marketing Strategist will work with J.O.'s President, staff and subcontractors to manage strategic marketing activities for both J.O. and its clients. This position is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies that deliver meaningful, measurable results; position clients and the President as thought leaders; and differentiate J.O. from competitors. The role requires practical, hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing and communications disciplines, from digital advertising and branding to client communication and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be highly strategic and analytical, capable of developing long- and short-term marketing plans while also confidently advising clients, leading internal teams, and ensuring projects stay on track, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and actionable marketing strategies tailored to client and agency goals
  • Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term marketing plans, campaigns, and deliverables
  • Plan, organize, and manage digital campaigns and traditional advertising for clients and J.O.
  • Oversee creative and production workflows — from messaging to media placement
  • Guide social media strategy and execution (but not rely on it as the sole channel)
  • Provide clear, data-driven reports on campaign performance and strategic recommendations
  • Lead regular client meetings and serve as a key advisor for client marketing success
  • Actively contribute to agency-wide projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies, industry news, and marketing trends
  • Represent J.O. and its clients in the community and industry events
  • Support business development by helping with pitch strategy, recommendations, and presentations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on trust, performance, and growth
  • Help manage client expectations and resolve issues proactively with sound solutions
  • Collaborate closely with J.O.'s internal and external creative teams, keeping projects aligned with strategy
  • Mentor junior staff and interns, helping them grow through thoughtful guidance and support
  • Manage media buys, source vendors, and coordinate production elements
  • Demonstrate organizational and communication skills across digital platforms and in person
  • Keep project timelines, documents, and communications well-organized and up to date
  • Log all activity and assignments using project management tools
  • Represent J.O. with professionalism, creativity, and integrity

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of marketing principles and tactics — including media strategy, creative production, and campaign execution
  • Practical experience with Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and other marketing platforms
  • Confidence and polish in verbal, written, and visual communication — whether in client meetings or on camera
  • Presentation, negotiation, and vendor sourcing skills
  • Ability to lead internal and client teams, set deadlines, manage expectations, and keep momentum
  • Adept at juggling multiple fast-paced projects with competing priorities
  • Strategic and creative thinker who thrives on solving problems and making ideas happen
  • Positive, team-oriented, and unafraid to speak up with new ideas or client insights
  • Organized, detail-oriented, fast note-taker, and natural multi-tasker
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital advertising best practices

Nice to Have

  • Previous agency experience or managing multiple clients
  • Experience mentoring interns or junior talent

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in strategic marketing, communications, and client-facing roles

Benefits & Perks

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off

Working at Jo Corporation Ltd
