About the Role

The Marketing Systems Product Owner will serve as a liaison between business units, technology, and support teams to facilitate product development. This role directly collaborates with engineering, QA, and operations experts to represent the voice of the Marketing teams and is responsible for defining, documenting, and clearly articulating requirements to the delivery team. The company, Amplify, is a pioneer in K-12 education, leading in curriculum and assessment products that engage students and support educators across all 50 states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management and engineering teams, along with Marketing business leads, to create functional specifications and communicate product development within the Scrum team.
  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership to articulate a product roadmap, deploy new features, improvements, and bug fixes based on business feedback and priorities.
  • Research and evaluate emerging marketing technologies involving data analytics, AI, and machine learning to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Manage small projects aligned with marketing-related products and organizational needs.
  • Prioritize and refine the product backlog, working with engineering to design and build the product.
  • Identify and champion opportunities to leverage data analytics and AI/ML capabilities to enhance marketing targeting, personalization, automation, and performance measurement.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics, providing insights to product management and executives.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Marketing applications and best practices, including CRM, marketing, and ecommerce systems.
  • Conduct research, analyze documentation, host interviews, and support new development initiatives, bug fixes, and system patches.
  • Support, create, and sponsor projects related to improvements/enhancements, including creating business requirements and user stories.
  • Aid in and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Resolve production issues raised by product support teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years working with cloud-based marketing automation applications, with Hubspot experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, focusing on marketing technology or digital marketing products.
  • Experience working on or with various marketing teams, preferably in operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in information services, information technology, computer science, business, or a related area.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Experience working with Hubspot.
