The Media Specialist role offers an opportunity to plan, strategize, and buy all media while also gaining experience in account management roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as liaison between media vendors, the client, and the agency.
  • Keeps strong pulse on new and emerging media changes and provides fresh ideas to grow clients' business.
  • Gathers, organizes, and presents competitive and industry research as well as preparing market analysis.
  • Determines best use of multi-platform media mix including traditional, digital/social media outlets to meet clients' goals and objectives.
  • Participates in client meetings for media plan presentation and strategizing sessions.
  • Manages day-to-day tasks associated with stewarding client-approved media plans.
  • Helps maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Has in-depth knowledge and understanding of Video, Print, Audio, and OOH.
  • Understands rating estimates (TV & Radio) as well as digital performance metrics/KPIs.
  • Avails media and negotiates best rates, CPMs, CPPs, special time parameters, value-added sponsorships, promotions, bonus impressions, e-newsletters, etc.
  • Builds Radio & TV schedules, compiles digital media into planning documents.
  • Manages media execution projects, including asset tracking, process control, quality monitoring.
  • Analyzes post-buys and works with stations to address under delivery or impressions.
  • Works with internal teams to develop monthly performance reports and optimize strategies.
  • Resolves billing discrepancies as needed.
  • Provides energy and innovative ideas to media strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience with traditional media buying: 1 year (Required).
  • Ability to work in Baltimore, MD 21209 (Required).
  • Experience with media buying software, Strata a plus.
  • Experience with digital ad servers.
  • Experience pulling media research from various sources.
  • Experience building target audiences and implementing social media campaigns.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
