About the Role

The Medical Strategy Management Senior Project Manager at Pfizer Oncology supports medical activities within an industry-leading portfolio of cancer medicines. Reporting to the Medical Strategy Management Project Management Team Lead, this role involves project management, tracking medical deliverables, vendor and cross-alliance management, process improvements, and supporting medical analytics and reporting. The position is part of the Pfizer Oncology Medical Strategy Management Group and collaborates with regional, therapeutic area, and product teams to ensure timely and effective execution of medical strategies in a global, matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and oversight of medical project plans and tracking of key deliverables for assigned Region, TA, or Asset, including managing project schedules, timelines, budgets, and plans for project quality, resources, and communications.
  • Work with medical team members to proactively identify and escalate risks or opportunities related to medical deliverables across Region, TA, or Asset, ensuring alignment with medical leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned processes and provide operational support and guidance to teams as needed.
  • Support financial projections and overall management for assigned Region, TA, or Asset budgets, working with finance, team leaders, and other Medical team members.
  • Support creation and development of new tools (e.g., Data Visualization, MST Newsletters, Asset infographics) across assigned areas, if applicable.
  • Facilitate team and/or Medical Strategy meetings, ensuring minutes, action items are recorded, filed, and tracked.
  • Assist in presentation development for internal meetings and operational planning processes.
  • Establish routine two-way communications within and across sub-team members, including regional/country teams.
  • Maintain all key documents in source systems/platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields, including medical affairs programs, clinical study operations, or medical communication operations.
  • Experience working in a global environment and managing global projects with team members in multiple locations.
  • Understanding and adherence to Project Management methodologies.
  • Ability to implement projects of strategic importance on time and within budget.
  • Strong meeting organization and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and operate effectively in a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good judgment in escalating problems, issues, and opportunities, with strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree with 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields.
  • PMP certification and experience in oncology and biologics, with substantial Medical Affairs experience.
  • Knowledge of Pfizer systems including MEDIC/ONEMED, ePA3, EPAY, ARIBA, Navigator+, GCMA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields for Bachelor's degree holders; 5 years for Master's degree holders.

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $120,800 to $201,400, plus a bonus target of 17.5% of base salary.
