About the Role

The Mid Market Sales Manager at DoorDash will be responsible for recruiting, leading, and developing a sales team within the restaurant vertical. Reporting to the Senior Industry Manager, this role involves building relationships with key clients, delivering on ambitious sales goals, and operating as a player/coach to drive performance in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes strategic client engagement, team leadership, and industry expertise to extend the company's advertising sales efforts in the restaurant sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully recruit, lead, and develop a sales team of individual contributors across the restaurant vertical.
  • Deliver on ambitious sales goals in a high-speed environment, building on existing sales infrastructure.
  • Lead the team on key client pitches, from strategy and planning through to execution.
  • Operate as a player/coach and develop senior stakeholder relationships with key client decision makers.
  • Use trust and challenger selling techniques to unlock mutual value with clients.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in ad sales, digital media, or adjacent industries.
  • Minimum of 2+ years managing a sales team effectively and leading team performance to meet and exceed goals.

  • Proven ability to establish and scale sales teams through hyper-growth phases.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
