Job Description

About the Role

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Senior & Long Term Care Division. The position supports diversion and transition efforts through the Money Follows the Person Demonstration Project. The position is responsible for research, data analysis, and interpretation of data related to diversion of Medicaid recipients from institutional settings as well as the transition of Medicaid recipients to the community post institutionalization. The department's mission is serving Montanans in their communities to improve health, safety, well-being, and empower independence. The role offers opportunities to perform meaningful public service work with comprehensive benefits, advancement opportunities, and the possibility of partial telework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, data analysis, and interpretation related to Medicaid recipient diversion and transition from institutional settings to the community.
  • Develop and maintain data tracking spreadsheets.
  • Translate data and statistical information into reports and presentation materials that are accurate, concise, and understandable by the target audience.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop and maintain data tracking spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of research design techniques, tools, and methods for advanced data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Three years of relevant experience in data management, analysis, report design, and presentation.
  • Ability to translate data into reports and presentation materials.
