About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our sales team and help us achieve our financial goals at three of our Weekly Publications: The Star, The Leader Independent, and the Tribune Enterprise. As the Advertising Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a team of dedicated media professionals. Our media organization specializes in providing a sophisticated suite of digital marketing services including cutting-edge digital advertising solutions as well as strong print products. You will be responsible for overseeing the sales efforts of the aforementioned three weekly publications, a mass distribution product, multiple special sections and growing our business with digital marketing services. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in digital media sales, with print or publishing experience preferred, who possesses a keen understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of technology and products.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a team of five outside Multimedia Account Executives.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture to ensure the team consistently meets and exceeds sales targets.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of our digital marketing service products, adapting quickly to new technologies and industry trends.
Oversee sales strategies for both digital and print solutions, ensuring comprehensive coverage across multiple markets.
Manage and enhance sales activities for three weekly papers, a mass distribution product, and various seasonal special sections/magazines.
Collaborate with the editorial and production teams to optimize print product offerings.
Implement efficient workflows and processes to streamline project management within the sales team.
Showcase excellent organizational skills to effectively juggle multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.

Requirements

Proven experience in digital media sales, with a successful track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Past sales leadership and media experience are strongly preferred.
Adaptability to technological advancements and a willingness to embrace new products and strategies.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with both digital and print advertising solutions is a plus.
Valid driver's license is required.
