About the Role

Farmville Newsmedia, LLC is seeking a Multimedia Marketing Consultant. Our growing community media company seeks high achievers to sell multimedia advertising in the Heart of Virginia. The portfolio includes three newspapers, a magazine, related websites, and a full-service digital marketing agency. Successful candidates will possess characteristics such as being energetic, optimistic self-starters with excellent communication skills and technological proficiency. The role offers excellent earnings potential, opportunities for advancement into management roles, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

Sell multimedia advertising to clients in the Heart of Virginia.
Prospect for new business opportunities in a fast-paced, competitive marketplace.
Meet with business owners or decision-makers to understand their marketing needs.
Recommend appropriate marketing programs based on client needs.
Hustle for business and work extra hours to maximize earnings.

Requirements

Energetic, optimistic self-starter.
Excellent verbal and good written communication skills.
Technologically proficient, including in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Google apps, and browser-based applications.
Basic knowledge of retail and service businesses or the ability to quickly understand them.
Ability to meet with business owners or decision-makers and understand their marketing needs.
General sales experience is helpful but not essential if the above criteria are met.
