About the Role

The Technical Marketing and Content Manager at Zygo Corporation will be responsible for developing and executing the company's technical content strategy, supporting the annual strategic plan and budget, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, technically accurate content. The role involves driving marketing initiatives in the optical engineering sector, emphasizing innovation, precision, and customer-focused campaigns. The position is based in Middlefield, CT, with flexibility for other US locations, and offers an opportunity to work within a global leader in optical metrology and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Product, Sales, Applications, Service, and Engineering teams to identify and prioritize high-value vertical and technical market opportunities.
Lead technical writers and creative teams to produce high-quality, technically accurate content.
Define and manage the annual global editorial calendar in alignment with campaign timelines and vertical market strategies.
Act as a key leader and liaison within the organization, collaborating proactively with global cross-functional teams to inform content and campaign initiatives.
Develop editorial calendars, content campaign strategies, and industry collaborations proactively without waiting for direction.
Manage multi-channel campaign execution, annual editorial calendars, and content production timelines across global teams.
Oversee technical writers, manage deliverables, and ensure campaign work aligns with leadership priorities.
Lead teams and inspire engagement through projects like Key Option Leader programs, technical content, and educational outreach.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in engineering, optics, photonics, industrial manufacturing, or related technical fields.
Background in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 3 years in a technical or product marketing role with strategic responsibilities.
Ability to work with engineering and creative professionals to facilitate and train teams for technical accuracy.
Strategic thinking and ability to connect market opportunities with impactful content and campaigns.
Technical acumen to translate complex concepts into market-ready messaging.
Proven leadership experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders.
Strong project management skills and ability to balance multiple campaigns and projects.
Data-driven mindset with experience using performance data to optimize campaigns.
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and collaboration skills.
Understanding of content governance and editorial best practices for global audiences.
Adaptable, flexible, resilient, and growth-oriented.

Nice to Have

Master's degree or advanced certification in Marketing or Business.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
