About the Role

The National Account Manager at Samuel, Son & Co. is responsible for driving sales growth through business development, account management, and sales administration. The role involves building strong client relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads and proactively identify business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market segments assigned, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential target customers and industries.
  • Present and promote products to prospective clients, showcasing features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Coordinate with product managers, geographic managers, and sales personnel to create targeted account strategies.
  • Understand customers' needs and provide customized value-added solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with clients about new product offerings, promotions, and industry developments.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage customer pricing, present Contribution Reports, and prepare RFQs in coordination with management and Product Managers.
  • Develop and implement market segment strategies and tactics.
  • Track and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to develop sales forecasts and reports.
  • Present updates to senior management on achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Maintain accurate sales records using CRM, including customer information, sales activities, and pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the packaging industry or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the packaging industry or a related field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
