National Marine Account Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales targets within the designated territory by developing and maintaining a strong network of Honda Marine customers in the Large Retail, Internet Reseller, and Warehouse Distributor segments.
• Directly sell Honda outboard motors to partners and manage account relationships at all levels, from executive management to sales personnel.
• Support national sales initiatives and represent Honda Marine at select key sales events.
• Oversee co-op advertising programs and support market and industry trend reporting to drive wholesale goals.
• Develop channel expansion through prospecting and new customer acquisition.
• Manage account relationships and provide training to partners and internal staff.
• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and dealer meetings, including heavy lifting and manual labor as needed.
• Travel approximately 60% to visit OEM partners, attend events, and support sales activities.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Marine Industry experience.
• Expert knowledge of boats and marine equipment.
• Experience in selling marine outboard engines or similar technical products is preferred.
• At least 5 years of Key Account Management experience in Mass Merchant, Wholesale, or similar capacity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship management.
• Understanding of outboard engines and their applications on boats, including technical specifications and benefits.
• Ability to travel 60% of the time and perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting.

Qualifications
