About the Role

The Nissan Sales Manager at Schomp Nissan is responsible for leading the new vehicle sales department within a family-owned automotive business that emphasizes a customer-first approach and a culture of excellence. The role involves forecasting, budgeting, team leadership, and ensuring high customer satisfaction in a collaborative environment that values integrity, positivity, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the new vehicle sales department with assistance from the Dealer and General Sales Manager.
  • Attend manager meetings.
  • Assist the General Sales Manager in forecasting controllable expense elements for the new-vehicle department.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all new-vehicle sales employees.
  • Oversee the efforts of new-vehicle salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership.
  • Communicate with new-vehicle salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Guide all salespeople in setting their objectives on a short and long-range basis, review team performance.

Requirements

  • Automotive Sales Manager experience required.
  • Consistently performing in the top of sales metrics.
  • F&I experience in sales and/or management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and minimal accidents, points, or moving violations.
  • Ability to use/learn CRM database, Google Suite, and other automotive software products.
  • Availability to work retail hours including Saturdays and holidays.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automotive sales and management.
  • Experience with CRM databases and automotive software.
  • F&I experience in sales and/or management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
