Job Description

About the Role

The Offsite Ads Sales Lead at DoorDash is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for the company's fast-growing offsite advertising solutions. This role involves working across various teams, building relationships with clients and stakeholders, and informing product and go-to-market strategies to enhance DoorDash's advertising offerings. The position reports to the Head of New Ventures within the Ad Sales organization and is part of the Enterprise Sales & Business Development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy for offsite advertising solutions and work horizontally across brand-direct ad sales counterparts.
  • Serve as the industry specialist with deep product knowledge and understanding of the broader retail media offsite landscape.
  • Operate autonomously while building broad relationships across the Ad Sales organization.
  • Work in a cross-functional capacity with product, strategy & operations, and sales marketing to optimize offerings and market approach.
  • Establish and grow senior relationships with key stakeholders at both the client and agency level across the US.
  • Educate, empower, and enable team members across all levels of advertiser and agency organizations.
  • Own the sales pipeline for offsite media spend, from planning and forecasting to negotiation and execution.
  • Inform product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies by serving as the primary voice of the offsite media landscape within DoorDash.
  • Partner with vertical sales teams to co-pitch offsite media solutions.
  • Accelerate brand-specific advertiser growth through partnerships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • First-hand understanding of the offsite advertising landscape and operating model, with subject matter expertise in programmatic and measurement.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment with rigorous organization skills.
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills, balancing quantitative and qualitative business needs.
  • Bias for action with a strategic mindset to inspire long-term vision.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability and track record to build a team in the future.
  • Familiarity with core verticals in which DoorDash operates, such as restaurant, convenience/grocery, retail, and CPG (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in offsite advertising, programmatic media, and measurement.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to operate independently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with the verticals DoorDash operates in is a plus.

  • Salary range: $122,400 - $180,000 USD; total on-target earnings: $204,000 - $300,000 USD.
