About the Role

The Optimization Analyst at Universal Studios Hollywood, part of NBCUniversal's Digital and Technology team, will play an essential role in enhancing and innovating the guest experience through designing and activating experiments across multiple digital channels. The role involves collaborating with marketing, product, development teams, and vendors to identify testing opportunities, analyze data, and improve user engagement and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design hypotheses and testing plans based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
  • Develop and execute A/B and multivariate tests across digital platforms including website, mobile app, email, and outbound channels.
  • Partner with technical and development teams to ensure activation validation and alignment with test design.
  • Monitor test results and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Use statistical analysis to determine test significance and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Utilize analytics tools such as channel reporting, heuristic evaluations, heatmaps, and session recordings to inform test opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, channel leads, and vendors to identify areas for A/B testing.
  • Interpret and analyze data to draw insights and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Communicate findings effectively to both business and technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the travel, entertainment, or retail industry.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and critical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent client service and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of web/digital analytics and data analysis.
  • Ability to use analytics to recommend channel, user experience, and business improvements.
  • Understanding of optimization best practices, UX/UI principles, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies including Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present insights.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems.
  • Experience in the travel, entertainment, or retail industry.
