Job Description

About the Role

Leap Event Technology is a remote-friendly company revolutionizing the event technology industry by providing an all-in-one suite of ticketing, mobile apps, experiential marketing, and patron management tools, along with expert marketing services. The company serves iconic brands and has offices in Dallas, Montreal, and Sydney, with a diverse remote workforce worldwide. They are dedicated to transforming event experiences and are seeking a Performance Marketing Director to help build and lead their paid media function, shaping strategy, processes, and team structure to drive client growth and agency success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead performance-driven paid media strategies that deliver business outcomes, not just media metrics
  • Leverage core media platforms (Google, Bing, Programmatic, Social) to plan, buy, and optimize campaigns, favoring tech-enabled, platform-driven execution over manual processes
  • Actively participate in sales pitches, lead client conversations, and build media models that map directly to business goals and revenue growth
  • Manage media to achieve clear ROI and customer acquisition cost (CAC) targets, not just CPMs and CTRs
  • Build strong client relationships and provide strategic guidance at both the channel and business levels
  • Collaborate across disciplines within the agency to integrate media with creative, data, and broader marketing strategy
  • Recruit, train, and lead internal teams while establishing best practices and workflows for scale

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in performance media, ideally at a media agency, entertainment company, or brand with in-house paid media teams
  • Recent experience working at an advertising agency, with a strong understanding of agency operations, client management, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proven track record of managing 4- to 7-figure media budgets with accountability to ROI and sales outcomes
  • Previous management of direct reports and leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success using platforms and technology to execute, optimize, and scale paid media with hands-on experience
  • Comfort in sales environments: crafting proposals, presenting strategies, and helping close new business

Nice to Have

  • Experience working at a media agency, entertainment company, or brand with in-house paid media teams
  • Hands-on experience with platforms and technology for paid media execution and optimization

Qualifications

  • Experience managing media budgets of 4- to 7-figures
  • Strong understanding of paid media platforms (Google, Bing, Programmatic, Social)
  • Proven leadership experience with direct reports and cross-functional teams

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary benefits
  • Generous PTO
  • Paid parental leave (following 12 months of continuous employment)
  • 401K Match
  • $200 event reimbursement
  • Udemy Business, a world-class learning and development platform
