About the Role

The Principal Ads Policy Manager, Advertising Trust Policy at Amazon.com Services LLC is responsible for managing global ad policies across all ad products and Amazon Publishers. This role involves high visibility within Amazon's business lines, establishing customer experience strategies, and supporting policy management through collaboration with various teams. The team focuses on customer-centric ad policies, risk mitigation, and brand integrity in a fast-growing advertising environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clearly communicate risks and product requirements through high-quality written presentations to internal stakeholder teams and senior leadership to support understanding and consensus of policy positions.
  • Work with product teams by creating business requirement documents to ensure policy compliance for developing ad products.
  • Build collaborative relationships across other policy teams within the Ad Trust Policy team, across Ads Trust, the Sales organization, Legal, PR, Public Policy, and other business units outside of Ads to support policy management.
  • Support high-risk and high-impact escalations in partnership with moderation and tiered support teams.
  • Build an understanding of how ad tech systems generally function and how Amazon's systems operate to inform policy work and influence product managers and leadership.
  • Own full policy sets as necessary, including creation, management, communication, technical implementation, and ongoing monitoring through data.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in content moderation, ad tech, product policy, advertising policy, or related roles with a policy focus.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with Public Relations, Legal, and Public Policy teams in high-stakes environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills that enable trust at all levels, including leadership.
  • Awareness of current and emerging events that impact policy positions.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree, law degree, or MBA.
  • Proven experience driving engineering projects.
  • Proven experience working with metrics and data analysis.
  • Proven experience working on digital advertising in a regulatory position.
  • Proven experience with creative acceptance policies, advertising standards, or related fields.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in content moderation, ad tech, or related fields.
  • Experience working with metrics and data analysis.
  • Experience working on digital advertising in a regulatory environment.
  • Educational background including a Master's degree, law degree, or MBA (preferred).
