Principal, Data Analyst - Scaled PowerBI Solutions

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the understanding of the priority order of requirements and service level agreements, helping identify the most suitable data sources, and conducting preliminary quality assessments on collected data.
• Understanding, articulating, and applying principles of the defined data strategy to routine business problems involving a single function.
• Providing advice to business stakeholders to address complex business issues, translating business needs into projects, activities, and tasks aligned with overall business strategy, and serving as an interpreter to connect business needs with tangible solutions.
• Translating business problems into data-related or mathematical solutions by leveraging analytics, big data analytics, and automation techniques; identifying appropriate methods and tools for problem-solving.
• Generating appropriate graphical representations of data and model outcomes, designing and building analytics products, and facilitating their delivery through business intelligence and visualization platforms.
• Providing and supporting the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, monitoring progress, recognizing improvement opportunities, and adapting to organizational changes.
• Modeling compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity in business planning and execution.

Requirements

• A passion for data and driving the data strategy forward to impact the business.
• Experience in Data and Analytics, with a strong preference for People and/or Talent Acquisition Analytics, and the ability to manage, interpret, and draw insights from large data sets.
• 5-6 years hands-on experience working with Power BI and related Microsoft technologies.
• Strong experience in SQL and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Dataiku, or Tableau Prep; supporting the implementation of GenAI capability is a plus.
• A passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards that effectively communicate insights from large datasets.
• Experience working cross-functionally with business partners and team members across multiple time zones (US and India).
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize requests, and scope projects for high-impact reporting solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting the implementation of GenAI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
• Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
• Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
