Principal Experience Designer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Establish overall business or technical strategy for user experience initiatives.
• Negotiate with and influence decision-making reaching the senior executive level.
• Identify and resolve unique situations of substantial significance in user interface or interaction design.
• Allocate resources responsibly and apply creativity to enhance user and customer experiences across digital and physical products and services.
• Lead the development of user experience strategies that resonate with target audiences.
• Support and mentor less-experienced roles to provide an example of innovation, excellence, and day-to-day learning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in resource allocation, human-centered design, strategic planning, and strategic management.
• Ability to influence decision-making at the senior executive level.
• Strong skills in user research for product design, cross-functional collaboration, negotiation, and communication.
• Experience leading team development and mentoring.
• Proficiency in decision making and managing complex user interface or interaction design situations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and negotiation at senior levels.
• Leadership in user experience strategy development.
• Experience in managing or influencing large-scale digital and physical product experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years of relevant work experience.
