We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Principal Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our Risk capabilities across our Intuit Consumer Group lending portfolio. This is a critical, high-impact role responsible for the end-to-end product strategy and execution across the entire Risk lifecycle - encompassing customer acquisition, application processing, underwriting, ongoing monitoring, and fraud prevention. You will be instrumental in building and managing innovative, data-driven Risk capabilities that enable sustainable business growth, mitigate losses from both credit and fraud, and maintain a secure and positive customer experience for users of our Consumer Group products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Intuit including Engineering, Credit Policy, Fraud Strategy, Data Science, Operations, Business Development, and other Product Managers to define the future of Risk management for our Consumer Group lending products. If you are passionate about leveraging technology and data (including AI/ML) to solve complex Risk challenges in the consumer lending space, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Risk capabilities across our Intuit Consumer Group lending portfolio. Identify, define, validate, and prioritize opportunities based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.

Identify critical customer and business requirements related to creditworthiness and fraud prevention, understand business goals, define the desired end-state product experience, and partner with development teams to design scalable solutions.

  • Conduct in-depth customer research, usability studies, and experiments to understand risk- and fraud-related customer friction points and security needs within the lending journey.
  • Define and track KPIs and metrics for credit performance and fraud mitigation, using data to inform prioritization, communicate progress, and demonstrate success.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Data Science, Credit Policy, Fraud Strategy/Operations, Design, Marketing, and others to ensure successful discovery, development, launch, and iteration of Risk products.
  • Drive the product roadmap from MVP to scale, managing trade-offs and ensuring timely delivery of capabilities.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with modern risk assessment techniques, including AI/ML applications for decision-making.
  • Proven experience in defining product vision and strategy, translating into actionable roadmaps, and influencing long-term direction.
  • Strong customer obsession with experience working closely with customers and partners, employing empathy and a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in managing complex programs/projects involving multiple teams, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive execution from MVP to large-scale deployment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to lead execution across diverse teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate vision, strategy, and results.
