Our cross-functional team develops advanced Ethernet switching and gateway products, alongside security features, to complement our award-winning mesh WiFi systems. As an Amazon company, we combine startup culture with the resources of a leading technology firm. We build products that customers love, from mesh routers to high-performance wired networking devices, and are seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager for our core Hardware portfolio to shape our marketing strategy and product positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an overarching marketing strategy including business planning, understanding TAM, target audiences, market segments, and business opportunities.
  • Lead product positioning, messaging, pricing, and sales forecasting for hardware products.
  • Provide thought leadership to marketing and executive teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in product innovation, development, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Own the development of crisp, differentiated positioning and messaging at both product and portfolio levels.
  • Leverage customer and industry insights to guide product features, marketing campaigns, and customer-centric strategies.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and respond to intelligence to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Own pricing strategy, forecasting, and conduct business and financial analyses related to the hardware portfolio.
  • Serve as a marketing leader throughout the hardware development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
  • Support early hardware roadmap concepts by gathering business and customer requirements and defining strategy.
  • Build and launch new hardware products, including testing scenarios and post-launch enhancements.
  • Create a strategic narrative framework for messaging and positioning supporting global teams.
  • Drive hardware innovation and roadmap planning aligned with customer needs and market trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an associated discipline.
  • 10+ years of product marketing, go-to-market, product management, or program management experience with hardware or software programs.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering go-to-market plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Technical category experience or desire to become technically versed in networking.
  • Passion for experimentation and continuous learning.
  • Detail-oriented with a creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
  • Deep understanding of research & insights, including developing research briefs and applying customer insights.
  • Ability to synthesize internal and external data and work closely with product teams.

Nice to Have

  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
  • Experience driving new business segments or services launches.
  • Understanding of key business motions like forecasting, planning, P&L management.
  • Experience with B2C and B2B go-to-market motions.
  • Technically deep and business savvy to interface across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an associated discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product marketing or related fields.
