Private Brands Senior Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the annual development, implementation, and presentation of the Private Brands business plan.
• Perform annual SWOT analysis to identify market and industry changes and utilize this knowledge for business plan development.
• Oversee daily operations of Private Brand marketing, supply chain, and product development to drive profitability and team performance.
• Communicate direct and indirect performance feedback and individual development plans for PB management and staff members.
• Manage P&L responsibility for Private Brand products.
• Develop product plans including profitability targets, retail pricing, sales, marketing, and sourcing strategies.
• Set and maintain pricing strategies to competitively price PB products while maximizing margins.
• Monitor competitors, their sales channels, and products to understand trends and identify opportunities.
• Attend major trade shows and events; travel to qualify vendors or manufacturers and identify opportunities.
• Develop a plan to increase team capabilities and product innovations, including product blueprints, inspections, and documentation.
• Present department plans and outcomes to the Officer team.
• Collaborate with the Private Brand Marketing Manager to develop annual marketing plans and analyze product offerings.
• Work with the Private Brands Purchasing Supervisor on negotiations, product line reviews, and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure products are stocked at all locations, vendor service levels are maintained, and supply chain disruptions are minimized.
• Identify and develop new concepts, products, or business opportunities with manufacturers or distributors.
• Monitor, report, and analyze merchandise performance by category and vendor.
• Develop quality plans for new products and engineering standards for sourcing and inspection.
• Supervise and train employees, plan and assign work, appraise performance, and address employee issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
• 10 or more years of work-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of the consumer automotive market, industry compliance, and merchandising a consumer catalog and website.
• Experience sourcing products domestically and overseas.
• Ability to present the brand in relation to PB products and ensure product quality and integrity.
• Experience in managing P&L and developing product and pricing strategies.
• Experience negotiating with vendors, managing supply chains, and developing sourcing agreements.
• Leadership skills with supervisory responsibilities, including training and performance management.
• Ability to travel for vendor qualification and sourcing opportunities.
