About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts market research related to business segments specific to new product development initiatives.
• Assist in developing marketing materials and sales training documents for new products.
• Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
• Produce competitive analysis materials comparing the product with its key competitors.
• Maintain communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for the product line.
• Develop strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan in the specific product area.
• Coordinate product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum market penetration.
• Provide ongoing product surveillance and management of established products to achieve financial objectives.
• Assist with complex customer issues and provide consulting services to streamline internal management processes.
• Prepare technical and financial reviews of projects and present information to senior management, business units, customers, and project teams.
• Conduct surgeon and sales representative product and procedure training.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
• Assist in managing the development stage of the product lifecycle with support from Product Management.
• Define promotional activities and publicize the product through press, sales force, and distribution channels.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key surgeons.
• Work with cadavers in a lab setting as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business or Marketing.
• Proven work experience, such as an internship, in medical device, medical marketing/product management, or a clinical environment is a plus.
• Orthopedic experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of human anatomy is preferred.
• Excellent listening skills to identify and address customer concerns or objections.
• Excellent communication and public speaking/presentation skills.
• Results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective decision-making abilities.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
