About the Role

The Product Manager, Deposits & Liquidity at BMO Financial Group is responsible for supporting the development of new deposit products, enhancing client experience through training, engaging in market analysis, and maintaining product reporting. This role involves collaborating across departments to improve product offerings, analyze market trends, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, all within a company committed to creating positive change and fostering growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of new deposit products by supporting the project team as required.
  • Gather market research, customer insights, and analyze competitor offerings.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve product features and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in product development and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into training programs.
  • Review training and sales enablement materials to ensure sales teams are empowered with a deep understanding of deposit and treasury management solutions.
  • Gather and incorporate sales team feedback to refine training materials and improve knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards to track product metrics, sales effectiveness, and training impact.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in deposit products and training programs.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting actionable insights and key findings.
  • Support the development of business cases, strategic plans, and risk management controls.
  • Monitor key product performance and growth metrics to identify trends and recommend action plans.
  • Lead or oversee vendor relationships and external partnerships, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Resolve internal customer escalations and policy exceptions, including interactions with clients and sales.
  • Participate in market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights evaluation.
  • Design, implement, and manage product lifecycle strategies and documentation.
  • Support sales team development, including client deals and presentations.
  • Create marketing strategies, including offers and campaigns, in collaboration with marketing partners.
  • Develop and maintain product policies, directives, and key metrics.
  • Identify risks and develop risk management controls and processes.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in product analysis, training development, or banking.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to think critically and solve problems resourcefully.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Knowledge of treasury management and deposit products.
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with consumer and commercial credit applicable to retail and business financing products.
  • Deep knowledge of product delivery infrastructure systems and industry/regulatory requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of retail and business banking environments.
  • Experience in risk management related to product development and management.
  • Strong knowledge of process management and product lifecycle strategies.
  • Ability to develop business cases, research market trends, and manage relationships.
  • Proficiency in analytics, reporting, and product marketing.

Qualifications

  • Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
