Meta Horizon is for embodied experiences that make distance feel smaller and moments feel bigger and encompasses Horizon experiences and worlds, Horizon OS, and the Horizon creator and developer platforms. We are seeking an exceptional Product Marketing Director to help Meta Horizon establish the core flywheel of consumer and creator value that will set the business up for long term success across our VR and mobile Meta Horizon products. This role maps to critical components of our Meta Horizon economy ecosystem such as the Horizon Store, Meta Avatar wearables and digital goods, and platform quests and rewards. The right individual will be an exceptional collaborator and communicator, capable of working across multi-disciplinary teams across the business, and a strategic thinker who can identify meaningful business opportunities and sell them into partner teams to drive towards shared goals. They have a track record of building clear, data-backed frameworks for prioritizing investments across a portfolio of business initiatives. They are a strong manager of managers and individual contributors, and have a passion for shaping the next generation of social experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high performing team of product marketers, managing team performance and supporting career development and growth.
  • Manage product marketing strategy and execution for the Meta Horizon economy product experiences.
  • Partner with product leadership to influence product and business strategy with a view of customer and creator needs and market opportunities.
  • Manage and maximize the ROI of a budget to support the VR and mobile content ecosystem.
  • Work hands-on with key stakeholders to advance project milestones and drive product market fit, including prioritizing audience use cases and needs, and identifying and sizing key markets to target.
  • Design and lead go-to-market and growth strategy, communications, and execution in partnership with Product Management, Marcom, Communications, and Product Growth teams.
  • Consistently build productive internal partnerships, influence, resolve conflict, build alignment, and work effectively across teams to execute strategy.
  • Build a trusting organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing, product management, management consulting, business strategy or a similar field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing developing go-to-market strategies and partnering closely with product teams.
  • Experience managing a high volume of complex and ambiguous programs, with significant self-direction.
  • Experience creating market requirement documents, including audience definition, positioning statements and value propositions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating.
  • Building partnerships with Product Management and cross-functional teams to shape multi-year product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience building, launching, and scaling products and bringing products to market.
  • Experience identifying and analyzing complex, long-term, critical problems facing the relevant areas of the business and driving solutions for them.
  • Demonstrated balance of creative and analytical thinking, with data-driven execution.
  • MBA or related Masters degree or equivalent experience.
  • General manager experience driving business growth.
  • Prior experience with managing virtual economies or storefronts in games, gaming, or consumer mobile applications.
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating a diverse multidisciplinary team across geographical regions.
  • Knowledge in metaverse, social gaming, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, wearable devices, mobile devices, and/or hardware/software platforms.
