About the Role

The Product Marketing Senior Manager - Utility and Energy is responsible for leading product market strategy and execution for utility and energy consumer data service products. Reporting to the VP Marketing, this role involves shaping how the company articulates, positions, and brings innovative solutions to market for utility companies and their end consumers. The position is based in Cambridge, MA, with a mix of home and office work, requiring a strategic and creative thinker with deep utility industry domain expertise and experience marketing technology services to utilities, particularly in grid and demand response services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Articulate Sense product to the market by developing distinctive positioning and compelling, succinct messaging; educating and raising awareness of the Sense product and new market categories
  • Build product content including positioning, messaging, datasheets, website copy, white papers, case studies, videos, demo scripts, and product collateral
  • Drive sales enablement by creating pitch decks, battlecards, demo scripts, conducting sales training on value proposition and competitive differentiation, and supporting responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Support campaign development and strategy by partnering with marketing colleagues to plan and execute demand generation campaigns tailored to utility audiences
  • Gather market and customer intelligence through research into utility pain points, competitor offerings, and target buyer personas, and provide feedback to the product team

Requirements

  • Substantial experience and understanding of the utility industry, especially in grid and/or demand response services
  • Proven track record as a Product Marketing Manager, preferably at a company providing technology, SaaS, or platform services to utilities or grid operators
  • Ability to collaborate with product and technical teams to translate product specs and features into clear market positioning and messaging
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with excellent content creation and communication skills
  • Ability to enable sales teams and support effective campaign execution

Nice to Have

  • Previous exposure to GTM for software-as-a-service or platform solutions in the utility sector
  • Familiarity with regulatory context affecting utilities
