About the Role

This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week on-site at the Austin, Chicago, or Northbrook UL Solutions office. The Product Marketing Lead for ULTRUS products and platform is responsible for analyzing industries, global markets, and competitive intelligence to drive a strong go-to-market engine. The role involves defining strategies and tactics to win in the market, providing strategic direction on go-to-market strategies, and serving as an expert on ULTRUS strategy to inform product roadmaps and sales strategies. The position leverages product, industry, and market intelligence to identify market opportunities, develop messaging and positioning, and ensure effective product launches and sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze industries, global markets, and competitive intelligence to inform go-to-market strategies for ULTRUS products and platform.
  • Define the strategy and tactics for market success based on understanding of solutions, customers, and competitors.
  • Provide strategic direction on go-to-market strategies, including tools for sellers to differentiate value propositions.
  • Serve as the expert on ULTRUS strategy, contributing to product roadmaps, sales strategies, and market positioning.
  • Leverage product, industry, and market intelligence to identify market opportunities and risks.
  • Create data-backed messaging and positioning that define ideal customer profiles, buying personas, and pain points.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans for launching new ULTRUS modules, including setting goals and targeting audiences.
  • Ensure marketing content supports sales teams with tools like hunting packages, displacement guides, and sales presentations.
  • Conduct market intelligence and trend research to identify new opportunities and inform product and sales strategies.
  • Create master messaging and value propositions to drive product awareness and business growth.
  • Build and execute sales enablement plans with key collateral development.
  • Interview customers and prospects to understand key pain points and industry challenges.

Requirements

  • 6 or more years of experience in SaaS.
  • 4 or more years of experience in product marketing for SaaS.
  • Analytical skills with data-driven analysis including win/loss, root cause, and competitive analysis.
  • Expert and disciplined communicator with exceptional PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in facilitation, project planning, and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience in budget creation and management.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience working with senior leaders.
  • Has rolled out sales enablement programs.
  • Process improvement experience.

Nice to Have

  • Sustainability and/or Product Stewardship software marketing experience.
  • Understanding of AI and its capabilities.
  • Ability to understand technical and scientific issues and translate complex information for nonscientific audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing or using internal communication tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.

  • Estimated salary range of $80,000 to $130,000, based on experience and location.
  • Annual bonus target payout of 20% of base salary.
