About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager position is a full-time role based in Madison, WI or Des Moines, IA, responsible for leading marketing activities for assigned service lines within Eurofins. The role involves strategic oversight, message creation, market growth initiatives, collaboration across departments, and development of marketing strategies to differentiate Eurofins' services in the North American food market. The position requires a combination of industry knowledge, communication skills, and creative thinking to support sales and product growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead both the inbound and outbound marketing activities to provide strategic oversight and message creation for assigned service lines.
  • Drive market growth in strategic verticals by leading and managing research, communications, campaigns, ad buys, digital content, technical publications, and sales communication.
  • Collaborate with business leadership, operations, finance, and commercial teams to develop strategic plans and long-term product, service, and technology road maps.
  • Determine industry trends by visiting customers, following trade literature, commissioning surveys, and attending conferences and trade shows.
  • Coordinate and provide market input for the definition and development of new services or service applications.
  • Define detailed user, customer, and buyer personas.
  • Develop and implement positioning and pricing strategies by evaluating market conditions and product value.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing programs and tactics for existing and new services to achieve sales and profit objectives.
  • Create and deliver training for sales and support functions.
  • Increase customer awareness of products in line with overall marketing strategy.
  • Apply targeting and segmentation principles to develop effective content for collateral, presentations, websites, and customer communications.
  • Create content such as print collateral, case studies, videos, webinars, website copy, social media, and blog posts.
  • Strategize budgetary spend and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Define strategy and messaging for advertising campaigns.

Requirements

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
  • Product management experience within the food and nutrition testing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the nutritional chemistry and contaminant testing market or the food safety and microbiology testing market.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms and CRMs.
  • Demonstrated experience launching and marketing new products and services to a scientific B2B market.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, food science, or similar field.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role (marketing, sales, client services, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of scientific principles.
  • Ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to drive change.
  • Demonstrated success at building customer relationships and understanding customer needs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Highly competent with organizational, project management, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Effective listening skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

  • MBA (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, food science, or similar field.
