Product Marketing Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own all product-specific messaging across digital (PDPs, email, Amazon, etc.), print (hangtags, catalogues), and internal materials
• Translate key selling points into engaging, digestible information for various discourse communities
• Audit and rewrite existing product copy to clarify features, materials, and value propositions
• Establish and maintain a standardized product vocabulary and feature naming conventions
• Manage product specs and feature lists in collaboration with merchandising and e-commerce teams
• Serve as final authority on product copy before it goes live (web, print, and packaging)
• Build and maintain an internal product messaging playbook for use by sales, marketing, and retail partners
• Develop clear, concise product briefs to support photo, video, and campaign planning
• Partner with the Media Manager and Creative Director to ensure product value propositions are visually captured through appropriate scenes and features
• Contribute to creative briefs to guide photography, layout, and video feature direction
• Support marketing campaign strategy and GTM rollout with strong product narrative development
• Collaborate with the sales team to write pitch tools, trade show collateral, and training materials
• Partner with merchandising and design to ensure messaging supports lifecycle strategy and SKU segmentation
• Support customer service, dealer training, and internal onboarding with product clarity and use-case storytelling
• Lead product page content strategy and audits across Shopify, Amazon, and other e-commerce platforms

Requirements

• 5-8 years in product marketing, technical copywriting, or product content strategy for a consumer brand
• Experience in the outdoor, tactical, or technical gear/apparel categories strongly preferred
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to translate functional features into compelling benefits
• Strong technical fluency with ability to deeply understand materials, construction, and use cases
• Experience working with Shopify, Amazon, and Monday.com; NetSuite familiarity is a plus
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage dozens of SKUs and timelines simultaneously
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
