Product Marketing Manager, Agriculture Valves & Fittings - The Toro Company

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain existing product line, including performing monthly sales volume and profit audits to identify areas for improvement.
• Define new product requirements and maintain contact with distributors, sales force, and installers to ensure products meet customer expectations.
• Coordinate new product development and modifications to existing product lines by interfacing with R&D and manufacturing teams.
• Manage and execute divisional product development plans, including setting product specifications and cost goals, and providing market and competitive analysis.
• Develop new product launch materials, sales tools, and provide product training to field staff and distributors.
• Analyze competitive positioning through trade shows, industry meetings, and customer visits; maintain a competitive literature library.
• Introduce new product ideas to management and interpret customer needs for initial product trials.
• Maintain and update product information files for training, customer presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Manage relationships with allied companies, develop technical manuals and data files, and coordinate technical publications.
• Administer field training and coordinate the creation and maintenance of technical publications.
• Manage the product portfolio, contribute to strategic planning, and build cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Care teams.
• Travel 5-20%, including international travel for VOC events and trade shows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Agronomy; MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of marketing experience with a focus on new product development, market planning, and analytical spreadsheets; or MBA with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong project management and supervisory skills.
• Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of business principles.
• Experience in the irrigation industry or general agricultural markets is helpful.
• Proficiency with personal computer software relevant to the role.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Prior industry experience with agriculture valves and fittings.
• Experience with Power BI, SAP, and/or Quality Emphasis.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills (preferred but not required).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Agronomy.
• MBA is preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in product management or related roles, or 2+ years with an MBA.
