Job Description

About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager at Zendesk is responsible for driving Zendesk's Service narrative and go-to-market initiatives. This role supports various functions including research, messaging and positioning, enablement, and partnership across multiple organizations. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, product, success, and operations to develop strategic frameworks and assets, and to communicate product value effectively. Reporting to the Group Manager of PMM, the role is part of the Solutions team within the Product Marketing organization, with a focus on simplifying product functionality into compelling messaging and supporting customer-facing interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop fundamental insights of our market, customers, key buyers, and competitors.
  • Be an evangelist for product strategy and functionality.
  • Understand and simplify product functionality into real value-based messaging.
  • Enable internal partners on clear & consistent messaging and craft materials to support customer-facing interactions, such as sales pitch decks, messaging source documents, use cases, and personas.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, Success, Operations, and Enablement teams to develop strategic frameworks and assets for campaigns, enablement, press releases, analyst briefings, etc.
  • Bring an ownership mentality to offer innovative ideas to improve deliverables or processes.
  • Help maintain internal alignment with other parts of the company including Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years experience in Product Marketing in software and technology, preferably with SaaS and/or Customer Experience/Service software.
  • Articulate and skilled at storytelling in a straightforward way.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and insight generation.
  • Ability to engage with senior leadership in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Self-motivated, outcome-focused, and determined.
  • BA/BS or equivalent.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SaaS and/or Customer Experience/Service software.
