About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager at Venmo is responsible for developing product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for Venmo's expanding portfolio of products. Reporting to the Associate Director of Product Marketing, this role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive product user adoption and ensure a seamless customer experience. The position emphasizes a data-driven approach, consumer focus, and collaboration across Product, Commercial, Marketing, and Design teams to support growth and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, compelling product positioning and messaging for Venmo products, ensuring alignment with user needs and differentiation from competitors.
  • Support product launches and feature rollouts with comprehensive marketing campaigns to increase awareness, consideration, and adoption.
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, and Product teams to execute go-to-market plans across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior, trends, and competitive positioning in collaboration with Consumer Insights.
  • Synthesize market insights into actionable recommendations to inform marketing strategy and product development.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Commercial, and Consumer Insights teams to align on roadmap priorities and market needs.
  • Act as the voice of the customer in product development discussions, advocating for user wants and needs.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of product marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to optimize campaign planning and execution based on data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in tech, fintech, or consumer digital products.
  • Strong ability to translate complex product features into simple, compelling messaging.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies and executing product marketing campaigns.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market research and consumer insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Design teams.
  • Passion for consumer products, culture, and the evolving digital payments landscape.

  • Experience in the digital payments or fintech industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant product marketing experience.
