Job Description

About the Role

The Product Sales Manager is responsible for developing strategies to increase division sales and profits while providing premier customer service to customers, distributors, and field salespeople. The role involves product development, market analysis, training, target account management, strategic pricing, and developing target accounts. The position collaborates with various teams and interacts with customers, channel partners, and engineering to support growth and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete product line responsibility (product, promotion, pricing, and channel) for a defined portfolio of products.
  • Develop and implement product line growth strategies, including new/existing customers, markets, geographies, and channels.
  • Monitor and drive marketing communication needs for the product line, such as promotions, catalogs, social media, and web presence.
  • Investigate market needs for innovative products and work with Engineering to prioritize product development efforts.
  • Conduct market research through trade associations, internet investigation, and corporate services.
  • Support field sales and distributors to drive sales and maintain premier customer service.
  • Support Winovation new product development team for products in discovery and beyond stage 3.
  • Develop and perform product line training for field sales, channel partners, and customers.
  • Maintain high level of product applications knowledge and continually improve related skills.
  • Monitor competitors and develop response strategies.
  • Develop and lead IME strategies for existing product innovations, modifications, and extensions.
  • Travel frequently to customer and channel locations for technical support and training.
  • Monitor sales and margin results, track performance, and recommend actions.
  • Monitor product and market trends and suggest appropriate responses.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related Business Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in field sales within a related industry.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Physical ability to walk, talk, hear, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or Related Business Management.
  • 5+ years' experience in field sales of related industry.
