Product Sales Manager, Switchgear

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and manage daily priorities of the Switchgear Product Line sales team.
• Generate profitable growth for the business and manage a diverse functional team including Product Quotation Specialists, Configuration Analysts, and Product Support Technicians.
• Develop and execute pricing strategies in collaboration with Product Management, considering market conditions, portfolio strategies, and financial objectives.
• Lead the monthly Demand Planning process, providing market intelligence and demand forecast inputs as part of the business sales & production planning process (SIOP).
• Work closely with Utility and Commercial & Industrial field sales teams to execute on annual orders plan, deliver proposals, and manage monthly forecasting activities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders like operations and engineering to achieve business financial objectives including orders, sales, margin, and profit.
• Create and present materials to support sales & customer meetings, trainings, staff meetings, strategic planning, business reviews, and annual budget processes.
• Coach and develop team members to provide quality and timely support to field sales and customers.
• Build team capability, resilience, and satisfaction through cross-training opportunities.
• Oversee goal setting, training, and support for the team to foster skills development and career growth.
• Support development and building of digital front-end tools and initiatives such as Product Data Hub (PDH), Order Center, Configure Price & Quote (CPQ), and web presence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of marketing, sales, or engineering experience (or a combination) in the electrical products industry.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Experience with developing market strategies, managing sales teams, and understanding electrical distribution equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment, applications, and standards.
• Experience with electric utilities and Commercial & Industrial markets and customers.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Two or more years experience managing people.
• Experience with Overhead Reclosers and/or Underground Distribution Switchgear.
• Experience with electric Utilities and Commercial & Industrial markets and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the electrical products industry.
