Job Description

About the Role

The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning one or more lower level projects throughout the organization while ensuring the projects are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards that meet the customer's expectation. Utilizes project management tools and processes to strategically support organizational growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain business relationships, working with all levels and organizations of the company to provide status of key projects.
  • Develop and implement plans to document project scope, schedule, tasks, risk management, and communicate progress to the team.
  • Utilize visual processes and tools to track projects progress, challenges, and timing.
  • Identify and coordinate resource needs cross-functionally throughout the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with others and assist to lead meetings to determine objectives, track progress, troubleshoot challenges, and execute deliverables assigned to project.
  • Identify risks and inefficiencies and work with Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager to troubleshoot and resolve, communicating plans to management.
  • Maintain routine direct contact with the customer throughout the contractual agreement until project completion, including tasks related to accounts receivable, warranty claims, updates, change order management, and schedule communication.
  • Estimate tasks involving change order costing, make/buy analysis, and comparison of alternative design and manufacturing decisions.
  • Develop support solutions in partnership with a Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager to address project concerns while meeting customer needs and industry expectations.
  • Leverage knowledge of Project Management methodology, skills, and tools from senior project staff.
  • Ensure lessons learned are applied to future efforts.
  • Cross train and flex to estimating responsibilities as required by product line needs.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Travel to customer locations, including international travel up to 25% as required by the project.
  • Maintain regular, in-person attendance due to teamwork and interactive nature of the position.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Experience with technologies and best practices across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Efficient utilization of Microsoft Office and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Self-starter and goal-oriented with a focus on order management issues for successful resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a mechanical aptitude for effective communication of the product to customers.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a time-sensitive environment.
  • A BS Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred; other degrees and related experience will be considered.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
