About the Role

As a Project Coordinator in the Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest division, you will assist project teams in coordinating detailed projects, ensuring proper recordkeeping, on-time delivery of materials, and managing change orders, all while cultivating a positive customer service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Perform as the primary contact for assigned customers and manage projects through the lifecycle, exemplifying courteous and professional business etiquette.
  • Coordinate project requirements with contractors and detailers to ensure the submittal of drawings and the delivery of all contracted material meets the customer's schedule.
  • Responsible for order management, including verifying scope, price, schedule, change order management, and communication with both external and internal customers.
  • Maintain constant communication with involved parties regarding project status updates in weekly schedules and division meetings.
  • Understand Nucor Rebar Fabrication's standard contract management procedures, maintain contract files, monitor lump sums for over-runs, and complete final invoicing.
  • Track change orders through the business system and develop a working knowledge of industry practices such as the CRSI Manual of Standard Practice and reinforced concrete construction.
  • Assist in the development of tools, standards, and processes to increase department productivity and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Three years of project coordination experience or high-level administrative experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Auto CAD and reinforcing bar detailing.
  • Prior metal building experience in detailing, design, estimating, project coordination, quality control, or production.
  • A two-year degree from an accredited school or college; construction or engineering degree is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Construction or Engineering degree.
  • Auto CAD and/or basic knowledge of reinforcing bar detailing.

Qualifications
