Job Description

About the Role

The Project Executive reports to the Operations Manager and Division Manager, supervises multiple project and management staff, and is responsible for overseeing project execution, client relationships, and business development within the company. The role involves strategic planning, risk management, and maintaining adherence to contractual and safety standards, with a focus on fostering relationships and advancing company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees Project Manager; in the absence of a PM, handles responsibilities directly.
  • Enforces jobsite safety protocol.
  • Preconstruction planning and job setup.
  • Oversees schedule development, management, and reporting.
  • Oversees cost control and reporting.
  • Develops and enforces risk management parameters.
  • Enforces adherence to contract requirements.
  • Handles dispute resolution for issues beyond the Project Manager's scope.
  • Maintains client retention and business development for the assigned Business Unit.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensures positive exposure to the community.
  • Leads or serves as a board member on industry and community service organizations.
  • Advises project teams regarding community service initiatives.
  • Embraces corporate values and demonstrates professionalism and proactive engagement.
  • Seeks feedback and personal development opportunities.
  • Trains direct reports for advancement.
  • Maintains considerable focus and concentration despite frequent interruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant curriculum from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in Timberline PJ or similar project management software.
  • Proficiency in Viewpoint or similar AP software.
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks, Revit, and Sketch-up.
  • In-depth understanding of estimating strategy and protocol.
  • In-depth understanding of building components and trade sequencing.
  • Working knowledge of construction surveying/layout.
  • In-depth understanding of contract language, risk management, and risk mitigation.
  • In-depth understanding of contract language and mastery of subcontract.
  • Effective relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of BLHI estimating systems and protocol.
  • Ability to develop direct reports for advancement.
  • Leadership role in business development process.
  • Acquire relevant industry accreditation or certification (e.g., LEED, Lean, PMP, HCC, CCM).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with industry certifications such as LEED, Lean, PMP, HCC, CCM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
