Project Management Intern

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with due diligence efforts for new deals and acquisitions, including documenting scope of work and coordinating with estimators to ensure accurate estimating.
• Help develop project-specific scope and budget source documents for brand negotiations and project execution.
• Support the management of procurement processes for design, construction, and consulting services by assisting with RFPs, meeting agendas, minutes, transmittal documentation, and project schedule and budget reviews.
• Gain exposure to reviewing architectural, design, and engineering construction drawings and bid documents.
• Serve as a liaison between hotel operations and design/construction professionals.
• Review contractor and vendor onsite activities to verify compliance with design specifications, schedules, and workmanship standards.
• Assist with the approval and processing of scheduled progress draw packages for payment, with an opportunity to work alongside the project accounting team.
• Promote professionalism and ethics in all job-related activities.
• Perform any other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Current enrolled undergraduate or graduate student (rising college junior or above).
• Fields of study to include Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Project or Construction Management, Real Estate, or related fields in the hotel/lodging industry preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of project budgeting and accounting principles is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn through mentorship, hands-on experience, and autonomous project responsibilities.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
