About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Leading a team through the life cycle of purchased components from requirement identification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/delivery.
• Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serving as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviewing project status, budgets, schedules, and preparing status reports.
• Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Performing responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one supplier management and procurement job family.
• Applying independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives.
• Developing, integrating, implementing, and executing multidisciplinary business processes.
• Working cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers and all employee levels.
• Applying knowledge of product development stages and methodologies in project planning and execution.
• Using process management and improvement techniques.
• Facilitating work teams, providing training, and interfacing with internal organizations and external customers regarding project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

Requirements

• 9+ years in manufacturing aerospace, project management or IPT lead.
• Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Serving as liaison between project teams and customers.
• Reviewing project status, budgets, schedules, and preparing executive reports.
• Strong judgment, leadership, and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication across diverse departments.
• Problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative solutions.
• Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace industry knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analytic programs to create charts, graphs, formulas, and data entry methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace industry knowledge, supplier or Supply Chain experience.
• Manufacturing & supply chain management experience.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action training, methodology understanding, and practical application proficiency.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software proficiency (SAP).
• Knowledge of dimensions and tolerancing plus Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Understanding of process and material specifications.
• Self-Managed, Self-Motivated, Self-Reliant with minimal oversight.
• High proficiency in problem identification and resolution.
