About the Role

We are seeking a freelance Project Manager to help plan, coordinate, and manage the execution of various projects, ensuring adherence to all project performance targets such as timing, cost, quality, and achievement of proposed benefits/return. This role involves gathering project requirements, establishing project plans, confirming cost structures, and overseeing overall project execution. The Project Manager interacts with various teams, departments, and clients to ensure the project maintains its critical path. This is ongoing freelance support for our Equator team, with a salary range of $30-35 per hour, subject to change.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with On-Site Personnel and/or Client during the artwork development and pre-press execution.
Develop and maintain project plans, including documentation of project scope, objectives, deliverables, key milestones, timelines, schedules, internal and external resources, and project dashboards.
Communicate the project status, requirements, and structure across the Project Management team and all necessary departments.
Define potential problems and suggest alternatives based upon cost implications, time constraints, and customer quality standards.
Analyze the project's cost structure and any significant deviations from the approved cost structure.
Collaborate with manufacturing, sales/marketing, and purchasing teams in project definition, feasibility, and approval process.
Manage day-to-day progress of projects including risk assessment and problem resolution.
Conduct project reviews according to prescribed process/structure.
Serve as the main day-to-day contact on current projects for internal project teams, clients, and suppliers.
Attend project planning meetings as needed; serve as subject matter expert regarding workflow, processes, capacity, timelines, etc.
Assist with the implementation of workflow management and reporting tools focusing on quality, profitability, efficiency, and productivity.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and/or adapt processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, and quality.
Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of employees to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentor, coach, train, and develop team.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or related field.
4+ years of previous project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, and planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.

Nice to Have

PMP or other Project Management Certifications.
Occasional travel locally, nationally, and/or internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or related field.
4+ years of project management experience or equivalent.
