About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from planning through closing and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality installation services. This role provides overall project management support under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager, ensuring safe, on-time delivery of projects while managing schedule, productivity, and budget in line with contract documents. Key Responsibilities

  • Follow Safe Work Practices that conform with the Company's Safety Program and client worksite policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in the RFP processes by reviewing plans, specifications, and bid packages in detail.
  • Review contracts, work orders, and purchase orders to understand contractual requirements and ensure scope aligns with estimates and contract documents.
  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships to secure and expand business opportunities.
  • Assess project scope and schedule with clients to ensure successful project completion.
  • Develop and organize project plans including workforce, materials, equipment, and subcontractors under supervision.
  • Work with field operations to ensure availability of materials, equipment, and workforce.
  • Manage project scheduling to control costs and meet contractual requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, streamline project activities, and communicate updates to staff and management.
  • Participate in project meetings, communicate progress, and prepare job costing reports.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers, Coordinators, and Superintendents on RFIs and change orders.
  • Monitor installation activities to ensure productivity aligns with schedule and budget, ensuring work conforms with contract documents.
  • Partner with QA/QC to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage job costs and schedules, coordinate with customers and craft teams, and communicate project updates and scope changes.
  • Attend all required meetings and serve as an ambassador for the company.
  • Coordinate with the project team to develop and deliver correct submittals on time.
  • Manage customer acceptance and signoff processes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in leveraging information and data for informed decision-making.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols, processes, and procedures.
  • Deep understanding of industry-specific estimating and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to identify change events and implement change management practices.
  • Knowledge of construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.
  • Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting.
  • Ability to develop and manage project schedules.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements positively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura, and other industry applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry in a management or leadership role.
  • Experience managing large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects preferred.
  • Experience with various contracting and project delivery methods such as lump sum, cost plus, GMP, design-build, etc.
  • Preferred professional certifications: OSHA-30 Hour, BICSI RCDD, BICSI RTPM, PMI PMP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or relevant experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction management or leadership roles.
