About the Role

The Project Manager, Marketing Operations at Aaron's, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of marketing campaigns by managing processes, tools, resources, and cross-functional alignment. This role acts as the backbone of execution within the marketing organization, overseeing campaign plans across various channels including advertising, digital, social media, eCommerce, in-store, and community events. The position requires managing operational excellence, resource allocation, process governance, and stakeholder communication to deliver initiatives on time and within budget in a hybrid work environment based in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the marketing project management tool, ensuring accuracy of communication, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead execution of the marketing campaign calendar, coordinating across stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on developing project charters, workflows, and approval paths.
  • Enforce process governance while leading change management for new processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Steward end-to-end execution across all marketing initiatives using a central project management tool.
  • Manage internal socialization of campaigns, ensuring visibility and alignment across marketing and business functions.
  • Facilitate leadership, legal, and stakeholder approvals to keep campaigns moving on time with quality deliverables.
  • Track and reconcile marketing budgets, resource allocation, and vendor utilization to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding and manage external agency integrations.
  • Support compliance and risk management for marketing execution and vendor partnerships.
  • Manage PO / Accounting process, including vendor invoicing, to ensure vendors are paid on time and accurately.
  • Serve as a central connector across internal marketing teams and external agency/supplier contacts, aligning campaign execution with business priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with agency counterparts and ensure smooth collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead clear and timely communication, alignment, and visibility across stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project management or marketing operations experience, preferably in retail, finance, or multi-unit franchise environments.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple large- and small-scale marketing programs, budgets, and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong expertise with project management tools (Monday.com or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, enforce governance, and influence adoption of new processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and lead the timeline/deliverable process.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Project Management, or related field; PMP or similar certification preferred.

  • Experience managing marketing campaigns in retail, finance, or multi-unit franchise environments.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and technologies.
  • Certifications such as PMP.
