About the Role

This position involves either a combined Project Manager/Integrator role or separate positions for each, supporting the entry and departure of foreign official government guests at US airports. The role includes overseeing contract performance, managing personnel, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with airport and government entities. The company, BAE Systems Intelligence & Security, is a defense, aerospace, and security firm dedicated to national security and technological innovation, based in McLean, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team facilitating the entry and departure of foreign official government guests through US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints.
  • Manage overall contract performance, including conduct of contractor personnel, communication with the customer, risk and issue management, and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Support and manage team hiring, evaluations, and ensure contract compliance while leveraging corporate resources to meet requirements.
  • Manage contract finances, including cost control, review and approval of subcontractor and customer invoices, and monthly program deliverables.
  • Perform scheduling and coordination for airport entry and departure events with CBP, TSA, airline personnel, airport security, and police.
  • Obtain and maintain airport credentials, ensure team compliance with airport administrative requirements, and manage database entries and reports.
  • Maintain strong relationships with airport elements, understand airport processes, and keep program records and SOPs.
  • Provide on-call support outside normal hours, work at events if needed, and be available for short-notice travel to airports without a current presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant project experience in lieu of a degree for the Project Manager role.
  • Five years' experience in the Intelligence Community for the Project Manager role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Experience managing, motivating, and directing personnel in dynamic environments.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment and satisfaction evaluation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and computer operating systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce across US and international locations.
  • Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant project experience for the Integrator role.
  • Two years' experience in the Intelligence Community for the Integrator role.
  • One year of experience facilitating travel for official government guests.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and airport operations.
  • Ability to coordinate, manage, and plan medium to large workloads.
  • High level of personal integrity and discretion handling sensitive travel information.
  • Experience interacting with diverse cultures and social levels.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a relevant field for the Project Manager role.
  • Eight plus years of experience in the intelligence community.
  • Experience supporting program management with resource planning and analysis.
  • Three years of experience facilitating travel for official government guests for the Integrator role.
  • Experience with expediting international and domestic arrivals/departures at US airports.
  • Familiarity with US-based airport operations and authorities.
  • Knowledge of overseas operations, leadership structures, and station roles.
