About the Role

The Project Scheduling Lead is responsible for demonstrating expertise in advanced project scheduling methodologies and systems to support critical client initiatives across various industries and locations. The role involves developing, maintaining, and analyzing comprehensive project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 for complex, multi-site projects, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, and ensuring schedule accuracy and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze comprehensive project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 for complex, multi-site projects.
  • Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple locations to ensure accurate schedule development and maintenance.
  • Perform schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and resource optimization.
  • Generate schedule reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
  • Support the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation and reporting.
  • Conduct scheduled risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on scheduling best practices.
  • Support proposal development with scheduling estimates and methodology.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling.
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6, including both on-premise and cloud-based deployments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project for schedule development and integration.
  • Experience in construction project scheduling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-location and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with IT or technology project scheduling.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Experience working with international teams and managing projects across global boundaries.
  • Experience with the federal government or DoD.
  • Experience in assisting with cost-loaded schedules and budget integration.
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of additional scheduling tools, including Smartsheet.
  • Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • PMI Scheduling Professional Certification.
