About the Role

The Psychiatry Account Manager at Lundbeck is responsible for leading the promotion of the company's psychiatry portfolio within the Cookeville, TN territory. Key Responsibilities

  • Use digital tools and data-based insights to create opportunities, develop strategies and tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
  • Deliver clear and compelling messages to customers, probe customer needs, handle objections, and close calls with commitments to drive behavioral changes.
  • Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals, incorporating 'total office' account management.
  • Gather and validate key market trends and dynamics, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to identify and prioritize opportunities.
  • Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate payer access issues, and address them effectively using Lundbeck resources.
  • Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, including adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations regarding promotion of pharmaceutical and medical products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales.
  • Ability to score highly on disease and product training exams, with annual certification on product knowledge.
  • Strong work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and self-starter attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and computer literacy.
  • Must live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and customer facilities.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience within a specialty product sales force.
  • Experience promoting and detailing products related to CNS/neuroscience, including depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
  • Documented successful sales performance.
  • Ownership and accountability for developing and executing fully integrated account plans.
  • Strong analytical background and experience using sales data reporting tools.
  • Experience in product launches.
  • Previous experience working with alliance partners (e.g., co-promotions).
  • Participation in committees, job rotations, panels, and related activities demonstrating leadership.

Qualifications

  • Educational background as specified in requirements (Bachelor's degree).
  • Relevant healthcare sales experience as specified in requirements.
