PUBLIC RELATIONS AND DIGITAL MEDIA INTERN

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Research and compile statistical information on the American Hockey League and Syracuse Crunch
• Write press releases and feature stories
• Perform game day media tasks
• Assist in the continual upkeep and design of the team's official website
• Assist with set-up and follow through of player appearances
• Assist in providing content for the team's official social media accounts
• Assist with tagging and organizing photos on the team's Flickr site
• Provide excellent customer service to the Crunch fan base and general public
• Work home games and events as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned in the areas of hockey relations, marketing and advertising

Requirements

• Enrolled undergraduate or graduate level student pursuing a degree in sport management, marketing, communications, business or related field
• Strong creative, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Nice to Have

• Experience in sports preferred, but not necessary

Qualifications

• Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in relevant field
