About the Role

Broward Health Corporate Spectrum is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to support the communications team in creating a positive image for the Broward Health brand. The role involves identifying stories for media outreach, organizing press conferences and interviews, and preparing external communication materials such as articles, blogs, social media posts, press releases, and scripts. The specialist will also assist with developing and implementing system, hospital, and service line campaigns in collaboration with the marketing and communications team.

Key Responsibilities

Support the communications team by creating a positive image for the Broward Health brand.
Identify stories for media outreach and organize press conferences, interviews, and related events.
Assist in preparing information for external communication, including articles, publications, testimonials, blogs, and social media posts.
Write copy for newsletters, collateral, radio spots, press releases, video scripts, leadership talking points, and presentations.
Collaborate with marketing and communications to develop, initiate, and implement campaigns for the system, hospital, and service lines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism.
At least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in a communications or public relations role.
