Quality Assurance Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and executing manual and automated test scripts.
• Testing code changes and integration workflows.
• Coordinating the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process.
• Planning and executing various test types including regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, and performance testing.
• Developing and executing formal test plans for quality assurance.
• Writing test cases/scripts, automating test cases, and executing tests.
• Tracking QA metrics such as defect counts, test results, and test statuses.
• Evaluating and improving software processes using collected data.
• Documenting and resolving software issues.
• Collaborating with development teams on testing strategies.
• Engaging with stakeholders to plan, create, and execute automated test cases.
• Analyzing test results and recommending corrective actions.
• Managing defect and test case databases; verifying fixes.
• Supporting customer-conducted UAT processes.
• Utilizing automated testing approaches like model-based or record-and-replay methods.
• Researching and implementing new testing technologies and practices.
• Advocating QA best practices across development teams.
• Delivering quality process training and consulting on QA practices.
• Monitoring and reporting software defects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or two (2) years of relevant experience as a substitute.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 3-5 years of automated testing experience using tools such as Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in software testing and QA methodologies.
• Scripting skills for automated test development (.NET or other languages).
• SQL proficiency for data analysis.
• Strong relationship-building skills in Agile/cross-functional environments.
• Effective knowledge transfer and communication skills, including mentoring and training.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, complex, multicultural setting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to create visual models to simplify complex ideas.
